| RHE has been engaged by UniServices (the commercial arm of the University of Auckland) to develop, extend and internet enable the asTTle education testing system. asTTle is an innovative approach for improving the teaching of Reading, Writing and Mathematics in schools through computer based assessment and reporting.
The asTTLe application enables teachers to create educational tests in order to provide insights into how well their students are performing in comparison with other students (in the same class, and with students across the country).
The current version of asTTle is locally installed and delivered on CD-ROM, offering only paper and pencil testing. The e-asTTle project moves this to the next stage by implementing a web based version enabling students to complete tests interactively onscreen and by providing computer based adaptive testing. It will also take advantage of new technology to provide richer information to teachers and greater interactivity with students. RHE & Associates has been selected by Auckland UniServices Ltd to assist in development of e-asTTle over the next 3 years.
