Queensland Investment Corporation appointed a new CIO late in 2005. As an immediate task, as there was no single place in which he could find this information, the CIO engaged RHE to perform a consulting engagement using Metis by Troux® to map out the current state and future planned state of the enterprise, from strategy right through to infrastructure, and the planned programme to achieve this. The outputs from this project (which took just 2 weeks to produce) were detailed .pdf diagrams of individual issues which quickly impressed his management team colleagues with the CIO's understanding of their requirements and challenges. It also enabled him to pinpoint some potential hazards to some of the company's projects which would not otherwise have come to light till much later. The exercise highlights a challenge which any new 'C' level appointee faces, and a quick and effective solution using Metis by Troux®
